Cancer is REAL and it SUCKS!

Today Joe has a follow up with the renal doctor in regard to his kidneys. Hoping and praying for some good news. As of what I last knew he was feeling a little sluggish. We are hoping he doesn't need another transfusion because then it delays his CHEMOTHERAPY.

On another note ... I just wanted to reach out to all of the JMMMW's that have took the time to share his fundraiser, donate or have sent well wishes. It means the world to us! You can't even imagine. It is an amazing feeling to have the support of many whether it may be, family, friends or even total strangers. As of today 2/9/2012 we have raised over $3,000. That is amazing to me, but I will keep pushing and asking for continued prayer, support for this cause both by asking people to share this link and contribute to this cause.

Cancer is REAL and it SUCKS! It sucks even more when you are fighting the fight of your life and you have expenses you can not maintain because you don't have the financial means to. Stress is something that is not needed. No one should have to endure this and have to carry the burden of worrying about their finances. I have always been a firm believer of helping those in need and being a giver. There have been times I have seen people in need and while I was in no position to give, I did, because everyone goes through hard times, just in different ways. I know what it feels like to go through hard times (NOTHING THAT CAN COMPARE TO CANCER) and not have anyone by my side to help me though them.

We here about people every day who have Cancer, who are survivors of Cancer and so on. You can't even begin to imagine what it feels like to actually know or LOVE someone with Cancer. We always think we can some how feel the pain or empathize with those who are inflicted or those who have a LOVED one with Cancer. I am here to tell you, YOU CAN'T! Unless you have been there. While we all remain strong for Joe, our hearts were broken to a million pieces. I know I cried for days amongst my family and in secret. Because NO ONE DESERVES TO BE DEALT THIS CARD. NO DESERVE TO ENDURE THIS BATTLE. NO ONE DESERVES TO HAVE TO WATCH THEIR LOVED ONE FIGHT FOR THEIR LIFE. It is a sad reality that it is what it is, but we will fight the good fight and we are Joe's Warriors.

If there was ever a time you wanted to make a difference or feel as if you contributed to a good cause. This would be the time. Joe is truly a wonderful young man. That has blessed our family with his presence. His mother; Maggie raised such a wonderful man. He is the epitome of what every man should be like. He is loving, caring, funny, silly, dedicated, hardworking and just an all around "good guy". He brings happiness and joy those that are blessed to have him in his life. Joe deserves the chance to get better with out the worries or burden of financial distress and I want to see nothing more than him have his mind set 100% if his health and recovery, not 60% health and recovery and 40% his financial burdens.

So please take the time to share this page  and his fundraiser page. We are also hoping to share our cause with many via our FACEBOOK PAGE Every little bit makes a different. We also welcome prayer and well wishes. If anyone has any questions or would like to reach out to our cause, please feel free to contact Joe's Multiple Myeloma Warriors. Please also take the time to educate yourself about Multiple Myeloma by clicking on the highlighted text.

Manic Monday

Today is Monday, February 6th, 2012. Joe is at Sloan Kettering awaiting his CHEMOTHERAPY. Joe is accompanied by his wonderful mother Maggy. Maggy is a loving and a adoring mother. We are all so happy that his mother can be with him during this time. Please keep Joe in prayers that the CHEMOTHERAPY does not make him feel too under the weather. Have a blessed day everyone xo

UPDATE: Last I knew CHEMO had to be delayed due to a low red blood count. Joe is receiving  transfusions and they will determine if he can proceed with CHEMO. Keep Joe in prayer.
